Forex Broker Reviews – FAQ
What is a forex broker review?
A forex broker review is an independent check of a broker's regulation, leverage, spreads, trading platforms, minimum deposit, deposit and withdrawal methods and customer support. It helps you decide whether a broker is safe and suits your trading style before you open a live account.
How do I know if a forex broker is regulated?
Find the licence number on the broker's website, then search for it on the regulator's own public register (for example the FCA, CySEC, ASIC or the Seychelles FSA). The company name, website and licence number on the register should match the broker exactly.
Which is better: high leverage or low leverage?
Lower leverage is safer for most traders. High leverage such as 1:1000 or more lets you open bigger positions with less margin, but it also makes losses grow just as fast. Many regulators limit retail leverage to 1:30 for major currency pairs for this reason.
What minimum deposit do I need to start forex trading?
Many brokers in our list accept a first deposit of $50 to $250, and some start from $15. Start with an amount you can afford to lose completely, and check withdrawal fees and minimums as well as the deposit limit.
Are brokers with no regulation safe?
Unregulated brokers are not supervised by any authority, so there is no protection if they refuse withdrawals or close down. We label these brokers clearly in red. Prefer licensed brokers, and if you do test an unregulated one, use a small amount only.
What are spreads in forex trading?
The spread is the difference between the buy (ask) and sell (bid) price. It is the main trading cost. A spread of 0.0 pips usually comes on raw or ECN accounts, which charge a separate commission per lot.
MT4, MT5 or cTrader – which platform should I choose?
MetaTrader 4 is simple and has the most indicators and expert advisors. MetaTrader 5 adds more timeframes, more markets and a built-in economic calendar. cTrader offers a modern interface and transparent ECN-style pricing. Most brokers let you try all of them on a free demo.
How often is this broker list updated?
We review broker data regularly and update leverage, spreads, deposits and regulation whenever a broker changes its conditions. If you spot outdated information, contact us and we will check it.
